To Drown in a Sea of Stars

To Drown in a Sea of Stars is a haunting, lyrical map of the territory where grief meets the infinite. Through the lens of gothic wonder and cosmic imagery, these poems navigate the quiet depths of loss and the radiant expanses of the celestial unknown.

It is a ledger of secrets left in the tide pools, a study of the biology of strange realms, and a chronicle of the flickering embers we carry in our hearts when the sun goes down. Here, the natural world is a living archive, breathing and perilous, mirroring the constellations within us.

The Alchemy of Loss

My creative process is a slow steeping, not unlike the tea that rests beside my journal at midnight. It is found in the rhythmic crunch of frost-bit leaves underfoot during solitary forest walks, where the quiet geometry of the natural world begins to mirror the vast, silent patterns of the cosmos. 'To Drown in a Sea of Stars' emerged from a study of the alchemy of grief—how loss can weigh like ocean depths yet burn with the cold light of distant pulsars. Each stanza is an artifact recovered from these depths, a lyrical mapping of the territory where wonder and sorrow meet.

Current Orbit

The project is in active development as of June 2026. Fragments of starlight are being gathered and woven into the deep fabric of the sea.
